Ishara Foundation

Ishara Foundation in Mumbai organized an International camp for the Deaf, as well as for others who use sign language. This was the 2nd camp in the series organized by Ishara. The first camp was organized at Matheran Hill station, near Mumbai, in May 2007.

The 'Ishara India Camp 08' wa held from 31st May to 3rd June at Camp Red Stone near Dehradoon in northern India. This camp was a combination of group activities and adventure sports, as well as a perfect chance for Deaf people from aroudn India to meet and share ideas with each other, and with international Deaf from Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Nepal, the UK, and the US.

Everybody ESPECIALLY enjoyed the beautoiful natural surroundings of the camp and the adventure sports and team work activities. These included:
